What are my end of my lease options?
At the end of your lease you have 3 options:
1. Replace your Nissan with a new Nissan
2. Purchase your vehicle for the amount agreed to in the Lease Agreement
3. Return your Nissan
What happens if I exceed the mileage limit on my lease?
There will be a charge at the end of your lease for any kilometres exceeding the contracted amount. Where do I return my vehicle?
Under your lease you are required to return your leased vehicle to the Nissan dealership where it was leased. If you wish to return your leased vehicle to a non-originating Nissan dealership, you must make prior arrangements with that dealership.
Can I return my vehicle to a non-Nissan dealer?
No. You need to return your lease to an Nissan Dealer. If you need to find a Dealership, please go to

What if I want to purchase my vehicle?
You will have the option to purchase the vehicle based on the price that was agreed to when you initially signed your lease.
If you decide that you would like to purchase your current vehicle, here is what to expect:
1. Go to your home page to get your balance and payoff instructions or contact NCF Lease Customer Network 800.268.6499 Option 3 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. 2. Your lease may require you to pay incidental charges such as sales tax, vehicle registration, a purchase option fee of up to $500, or other miscellaneous charges.
3. You will not be responsible for any excess kilometers or excessive wear and tear charges.
When should I schedule my complimentary vehicle inspection?
You should schedule your inspection within the last two months of your lease. That will give you enough time to make repairs if your vehicle has excessive wear and tear.
Who performs the pre-inspection?
NCF has selected an independent 3rd party company, AutoVIN 866.792.0456 to complete all vehicle condition and inspection reports on behalf of NCF. All of their Field Inspectors receive continuous training on NCF's standards and procedures.

. This guidebook outlines exactly what NCF considers excess wear and tear and also provides a Driveway Check-up tool which will assist you in performing your own self-assessment. It is recommended that you schedule an appointment with your Dealership to rectify potential excess wear and tear problem areas before returning your leased vehicle .
How do I schedule my complimentary pre-inspection?
Within the last 60 days of your lease, schedule your complimentary, vehicle inspection, by calling AutoVIN at 866.792.0456.
What happens if I choose not to complete the complimentary pre-inspection?
If you choose to return your vehicle without the pre-inspection, an inspection will always take place at the Dealer after you return your vehicle to determine what, if any, excessive wear and tear charges apply. You will not have the opportunity to make repairs, or consult with your insurance company. Please schedule your inspection prior to returning your vehicle.
Do I need to schedule an inspection if I purchase my leased vehicle?
If you are purchasing your lease vehicle, you do not need an inspection. You will not be responsible for any excess kilometres or excessive wear and tear charges.
How do I prepare for the pre-inspection appointment?
To prepare for your pre-inspection appointment, please ensure that all large objects are removed from the vehicle to ensure an accurate evaluation.
Why can't my dealer inspect the vehicle?
Only AutoVIN can fulfill the complimentary pre-inspection with certified inspectors trained to apply NCF's excessive wear and tear guidelines. To schedule your vehicle inspection, call AutoVIN at 866.792.0456.
How long does it take to inspect my vehicle?
The entire pre-inspection process may take up to 45 minutes to complete. Less damage, and excess wear and tear, will result in a shorter inspection time.
Do I need to be present at the inspection?
No. As long as there is someone above the age of 18 that you authorize to represent you and supply vehicle keys to the inspector. However, the inspection report will require a signature so if you cannot be present, appoint someone who knows your vehicle concerns. When completed, the inspector will leave a copy of the inspection report for your records.
What will be considered chargeable wear and tear?
Definitions of excess wear and tear that NCF considers chargeable can be found in the Nissan Wear & Tear Guide found in the HELP section under Documents and Forms.
How do I get my vehicle's condition/inspection report?
Upon completion of the pre-inspection, you will be provided a copy of your “Condition Report”. If you didn't get a copy of your pre-inspection, you can view the chargeable wear and tear on AutoVIN's website
. Please keep your last seven digits of your VIN and full account number handy.
Do I have to make any repairs before I turn in my vehicle?
If excessive wear and tear is discovered during your vehicle inspection, you have the option of making repairs before returning your vehicle. We highly recommend that you discuss the results with your Nissan Dealer or insurance agent.
Your Nissan Dealer may be able to help you do this in a cost-effective way, or the cost of repairs may be covered by your insurance company with your only expense being the deductible. (Contact your insurance company for details.)
If you decide to have repairs made, please keep all copies of repair receipts in case NCF requests them at a later time as proof of work completed on the vehicle.
If you choose not to make repairs, simply return your vehicle. NCF will send you an end of lease liability statement that includes the excess wear and tear charges that appear on your final inspection along with any excessive kilometres if applicable.
What if my vehicle is damaged after my inspection but before I return it?
If damages occur after the initial inspection, make any repairs necessary to the vehicle. Please keep all copies of repair receipts in case NCF requests them at a later time as proof of work completed on the vehicle.
What charges may I expect on my Liability Statement?
The End of Lease Liability Statement will show any items that remain owing under the lease.
1. Any remaining payments due or past due
2. Excess Kilometres charges
3. Excessive Wear and Tear charges
4. Disposition fee ******currently under review
5. Any other amounts that remain owing (i.e. Taxes, Late Charges, Miscellaneous, etc.)
6. Early termination fee, if applicable
What should I do at the end of my lease?
At the end of your lease you have three options: Return, Purchase, or Replace the vehicle.
If you'd like to purchase your current vehicle, simply visit your Nissan Dealer prior to the end of your lease term. They'll discuss what your available options are and if applicable, arrange financing for the purchase of your current vehicle. If you purchase your vehicle, you will not be charged for any excess mileage and/or excessive wear and tear.

If you' like to turn in your vehicle, there are simple steps to follow:
: Prior to your vehicle return date, have your vehicle inspected for excess wear and tear. You'll need to contact AutoVIN at 866.792.0456 to arrange for a complimentary inspection at your home, dealership or place of business. AutoVIN is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday.

Contact your dealer prior to the lease maturity date to schedule an appointment to drop off your vehicle. You should give yourself ample time to investigate and explore all of your lease end options to ensure that you make a knowledgeable, well informed decision. The Dealership will ground your vehicle in your presence using an internal website. At time of drop off, the Dealer will print off an NCF Grounding Receipt to be signed by both you & the Dealership. This form is a receipt acknowledging the date that you returned the vehicle. The grounding receipt is not a vehicle inspection report. AutoVIN will complete a detailed condition report within 48 hours of grounding. The condition report is then used by NCF to determine whether the vehicle has suffered excess wear and tear charges or has been driven beyond the allowable kilometres which would then be charged to you. If you'd like to replace your vehilce, please follow the instructions for an hassle-free return and speak to your Dealer about getting into a new vehicle. You may be eligible to take advanatge of NCF Loyalty Program. We will provide you with detailed information about your options via mail as the end of your lease approaches. Prepare for the end of your Nissan lease
When it's time to begin considering your lease-end options, Nissan Canada Finance NCF) wants to ensure a pleasant experience each kilometre of the way. Prior to your lease ending, we will begin sending you a series of correspondence regarding your choices and obligations. You may contact us or your Nissan Dealer to review your options. You may also review the options and explanations outlined below.
YOUR END OF LEASE OPTIONS
There are 3 options for you to consider:
your lease with a new Nissan lease or purchase and take advantage of Loyalty Offers.
your lease vehicle to your Nissan Dealer.

STEPS TO COMPLETE YOUR LEASE RETURN
If you choose to return your Nissan or replace it with a new one, please follow these simple steps:
1. SCHEDULE YOUR PRE-RETURN VEHICLE INSPECTION:
Call AutoVIN at 866-792-0456 for a complimentary, vehicle inspection. Nissan Dealerships are not authorized to perform this inspection, any requests sent, written or verbal, will not be accepted in the termination process. An AutoVIN certified inspector will complete the assessment of your vehicle's condition and provide you with a copy of the estimated excessive wear and tear.
2. DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO MAKE REPAIRS:
If excess wear and tear is discovered during your inspection, you have the option to repair your vehicle before returning it. You may want to consult with your insurance agent to determine what is more beneficial.
3. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR NISSAN DEALER:
Please contact your local authorized Nissan dealer 30 days prior to your maturity date to return, replace, or purchase your lease.
4. COMPLETE THE VEHICLE RETURN CONFIRMATION AT THE DEALER:
This document must be signed by you aknowledging the current kilometres at time of return. It is necessary to process the termination of your account, and will serve as your receipt for the return of the vehicle. Be sure to request a copy of all documents for your records and update your mailing address.
5. SATISFY ANY LEASE LIABILITY FEES/CHARGES:
You will receive an End-of-Lease liability statement four to six weeks after the vehicle has been returned to your Nissan Dealer. The statement will detail any current fees/charges remaining,including a disposition fee of up to $395 (UNDER REVIEW). You may receive subsequent bills after this liability statement that may include, but are not limited to, parking tickets, toll violations, etc. that occurred during the time you were in possession of the leased vehicle.

A Loyalty waiver applies up to 90 days after lease termination. Eligibility is determined by leasing or purchasing a new, unused, and unregistered Nissan vehicle financed through Nissan Canada Finance (NCF). Offer is not transferrable or assignable, except to a co-owner/co-lessee of the Existing Vehicle who resides within the same household as the intended recipient of the Offer. Customers must satisfy all obligations to NCF in accordance with their current lease agreement. The excess wear-and-tear waiver does not apply to excess kilometre fees. See dealer for details.
EXCESS WEAR AND USE GUIDELINES
At the end of your lease, a pre-inspection should be completed before you turn your vehicle in to a Nissan Dealership. Having the inspection done as soon as possible will help you prepare for any excess wear and tear charges, and gives you time to review the repairs with an authorized dealer. Please read the below information to help you understand the end of lease process in more detail.
Non-chargeable vs. chargeable wear and tear
We expect that, during the course of your lease, your vehicle will experience normal wear and tear, this is considered non-chargeable. The Vehicle Inspection Process
Every vehicle is inspected using consistent guidelines by the third party certified inspection company, AutoVIN. To schedule your complimentary, vehicle inspection, call 866-792-0456. An inspector will provide you with an assessment of wear and tear, if any, for which you may be responsible as referenced in your lease agreement. Upon completion of the inspection, you will be provided a copy of your “Field Based Inspection” . The cost of these repairs may be covered by your insurance company, with your only expense being the amount of your deductible. Contact your insurance carrier for details. If you choose to return your vehicle without the inspection, an inspection will take place once the vehilde is returned to determine what, if any, excess wear and tear charges apply. Nissan Canada Finance is not bound by any statements or representations made by any dealer regarding excess wear and tear or the vehicle condition upon return.
What to do if your vehicle has Chargeable Excess Wear and Tear
We encourage you to have your vehicle repaired by a Nissan Dealership prior to returning your lease. If you choose not to, then you should expect the same damages estimated to you on your pre-inspection in addition to any other excessive wear and tear that may have occurred since your pre-inspection. A final inspection is always completed at the dealership to account for any changes in the condition of the vehicle upon return.
When it’s time to return your current vehicle, we want you to stay in the Nissan family. We’ll waive up to $500 in excess wear-and-tear charges. If applicable, on your current Nissan Canada Finance (NCF) lease when you purchase or lease a new Nissan.
